A new report shows the Trump White House has spent more than $100,000 on a yacht in Florida to accommodate Ivanka Trump, who was in New York City for the Women’s March on Sunday.
The White House’s Office of Management and Budget said in a report on Monday that the yacht is being purchased by the White House Office of Government Ethics to “ensure that the Presidential Office does not use taxpayer funds for personal use, and to allow the President to continue to use his personal yacht for official events.”
The yacht is described in the report as a “salon style yacht” that “is a great example of the modern Presidential yacht, which has an open-air dining room, pool, spa, bar and kitchen, and large outdoor deck for a total of 6 bedrooms.”
A spokesman for the Trump Organization did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The yacht has not been used for official White House events since January of this year, according to the report.
Trump and his family have not spent any of the money the White Houses Office of Public Liaison has paid for yacht outings on the yacht.
The report notes that the president has also traveled to the Caribbean and other Caribbean islands on the private jet.
