Luxury yacht club Myseanna, located in Larchmont, California, was founded in 2012, and currently hosts six luxury yacht clubs in California, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Florida, and Hawaii.
Since it was founded, the club has grown to nearly 50 members.
Myseannas membership numbers have increased by more than 3,000 members in the last year alone, and according to Myseanne’s president, Kristin Dauphine, the number of members is growing at a rapid pace.
Daupine has been working to build the club’s brand, and recently added a second yacht club, Sea of Blue, in California to her existing club.
Myeannas newest member, the newly-minted Sea of Light, is set to open its doors later this year, and is expected to be one of the largest yacht clubs around.
While Myeanna has its sights set on a large membership base, Daupein hopes that Sea of Lights will help bring in new members, especially those who are less interested in cruising.
“It’s a very inclusive club, we want to create a community for our members,” Daupy said.
“So if you’re a little bit new to sailing and you’re looking for a bit of adventure, I think we can really help you find your way in our club.”
For Dauptine, that means bringing in members of other yacht clubs, as well.
“A lot of these guys are looking to join a club for something different and want to see how much they enjoy what we’re doing,” she said.
Daugherty, on the other hand, thinks that bringing new members in through Sea of Bright will help to build a “global community of sailing enthusiasts.”
“We want to have people that are interested in sailing, we have people who are interested to learn about it, and I think it’s important that we have a diverse pool of people that would like to come and spend time with the club,” Daugy told TechCrunch.
“The Sea of Green is an exciting and unique opportunity for a newbie to be introduced to a different lifestyle and a different way of living.”
Myseanas members are expected to contribute to the club through their membership dues, which are split between the yacht club and Myeanne.
According to Myeene, each member contributes an equal amount of dues to Myeonas.
The club currently has approximately $10,000 in membership fees to spend on events and activities, with each member also contributing $50 towards the club.
“We also have memberships that are tied to their yacht club that contribute a certain amount of money to Myes club, and those are the ones that are not tied to the yacht,” Daungy said.
As of now, Sea Of Bright will only be open to members of the Sea of Silver, Sea Gold, and Sea of Bronze clubs.
Myselanas current membership list includes: Sea Silver, Gold, Bronze, Silver, Bronze Sea of Gold, Silver Sea of Purple, Silver Seas of Blue Sea of Yellow Sea of Pink Sea of Red Sea of White Sea of Brown Sea of Black Sea of Grey Sea of Cyan Sea of Indigo Sea of Orange Sea of Azure Sea of Violet Sea of Scarlet Sea of Dark Sea of Fire Sea of Shadow Sea of Gray Sea of Amber Sea of Aqua Sea of Ice Sea of Blood Sea of Mist Sea of Thunder Source TechCrunch article Myseene hopes that the growth of the club will help it expand further in the future.
“Our goal is to grow the club and expand into other areas,” Daepig said.
With the expansion of the current club, it will be even easier for Myeanais members to find another club that is close to them.
“If you want to come back to Sea of Larch, that’s the only place you can come back,” she added.
While the expansion to Sea Light may seem a little daunting, Daungies plan to make Sea of Sun a welcoming place for new members.
“One of the things we’ve done is build a new lounge,” Daughherty said.
“[Sea of Sun] is a lounge, and it’s very open to everybody.”
Myeanean has already been open to guests from other clubs, including the Sea Silver and Sea Gold clubs, which will be making the transition to Sea Lights.
As for the future of the clubs, Myeanes goal is clear.
“As we grow, we’ll be going beyond Sea of Color and beyond Sea Bright,” Dausy said.
