Lacey says she’s a “proud American” who loves sailing and “dresses in the best way.”
But the 32-year-old said she’s never been to a yacht club in California, where she’d been to some of her favorite yacht parties, before she decided to visit her friend, Sarah Wahlstrom, and her daughter, Katie, in the summer of 2017.
“We were in a very good place financially,” she said.
“I would have been in the position of having to do this, but I’m just glad we’re not there anymore.”
Lacey has spent nearly a decade traveling around the country, including stops in her hometown of Los Angeles, where her favorite place to spend time is the Beach Club.
But she says her favorite spots have become a little more difficult to find, especially during the summer months, when she’ll be spending time at her home in Beverly Hills, in a suburb with lots of sun and a lot of beach.
“It’s a little difficult,” she admitted.
“You get more and more out of the world.”
So, after spending several months in Laceys home in the Hamptons, she decided she needed to visit a yacht charter shop.
After a few hours at the Yachtsports Shop in Newport Beach, Lacey said she was able to book a charter to the luxury yacht club at the Crystal Palace.
She said she plans to spend the next several months on the yacht and cruise around the world, before returning to California in 2019.
“My goal is to go back to California and do the same thing I did 10 years ago,” Lacey told The Huffington View.
“Go somewhere, stay for a little bit, and see what it’s like.”
Lacy and Sarah Wamp, the owner of the Crystal Palaces yacht club charter company, started out with a goal of selling their charter on their website.
But the company quickly hit its funding goal of $2,000,000 and has since raised more than $1.7 million to date.
They have more than 500 members who can book charter trips to Littlestar, as well as to the yacht club on the East Coast, and they’re working to expand beyond the West Coast, with plans to offer charter trips on other ocean destinations.
Lacey and Sarah started the CrystalPalaces charter business in 2009, and have since had a major impact on the charter industry.
“The people who are running these charter companies have so much to offer,” Sarah Wachs, Littles daughter, said in a statement.
“There are so many opportunities to get to know these people and get to sail on their ships, to sail to their private island, to take them out to dinner.
The CrystalPalades charter club has provided me and my family with a great opportunity to meet people and learn about the world through sailing.
It’s such a fantastic time to be a charter owner.”
Sarah said she has been impressed by the amount of time the CrystalPals have put into the charter business.
“Sarah is such a great owner, and she’s really passionate about helping her people get a great experience,” Sarah said.
