This is the essence of the entrepreneur’s creed, according to psychologist, entrepreneur, author and entrepreneur Paul Graham.
But how does one achieve this?
To understand how Graham approaches the problem of success, we spoke to him about his own business, his experiences and his approach to the challenges he faces in trying to become a successful entrepreneur.
I have been in business for over 30 years, but I’ve never seen a situation as important as what is happening today.
There are very few things that can change the trajectory of human beings in such a short time.
I feel it’s an incredible opportunity.
It’s a new frontier.
What is the difference between the entrepreneurial vision and a business plan?
A business plan is basically an outline of what you want to achieve.
But if you’re an entrepreneur, you can’t be an entrepreneur without a business.
It has to be something you can sell.
It must be something people buy.
It also has to have some form of return on investment.
So it’s the vision.
You have to be able to sell it to people.
If you’re a businessman, you’ve got to sell something.
But the more you sell it, the more people you have to sell.
How do you approach your vision?
The first thing I would say is that it’s up to you.
I would tell people to think of what they want to do, but they’re not going to go to the trouble of deciding on the specific business plan.
They’re going to decide on their own.
I say this because if I say that, I have to think, what is the vision I have for the business?
If I say I want to make a restaurant, then I have a business and I’ve got a plan.
If I said I want a hotel, I’ve made a business; if I said that I want the best quality products and services, then that’s not a business, that’s a hobby.
I don’t have a plan for this business.
And I’m not going into the business thinking, I want this company to be successful, I’m going into it thinking, how am I going to create the best environment to create quality products?
The best environment for a business is when you have a team and you have people who have their own ideas.
That’s the environment you want for your business.
I’ve been in a lot of companies that have never had a vision, and that’s just because the vision has never been defined.
When you’ve never had an idea, what you’re left with is just one piece of paper.
You’ve got one word, one idea and you’ve just got to stick with it.
And that’s why, if you don’t, you’re never going to succeed.
The first time I had a business idea, I thought, ‘What am I doing?
What am I trying to do?’
So I thought about it for three years.
I read the book, I wrote a book.
And then I tried to apply what I was reading and writing to my life.
Then I thought of the business and then I thought that it had to be a business with the best products and the best service.
But I was very clear about what I wanted and what I didn’t want.
So I started looking for ideas.
And a lot more than I was looking for was a way of creating a business that was going to produce a lot.
And the key thing about creating a profitable business is that the business itself has to do the work.
If it’s just about making a profit, that doesn’t do anything.
So the business has to provide the value to the customer.
If that doesn of course mean making a lot, then you have lost it.
But it’s very important to understand that this business isn’t a money making business.
The value of your business is not how much you make.
It doesn’t have to do with the amount of money you make, the price you charge, the amount you charge for a product, the size of your team, the number of employees you have, the quality of the products and service you deliver.
The most important thing is to get the customer to buy what you offer.
That means having an attractive product, a good service and the right people.
That doesn’t mean that you should make money off your products and that you shouldn’t provide value for your customers.
What does that look like?
Well, the first thing you’ve gotta do is give value to your customers, because they want what you have.
And you can do that by offering a good quality service.
You can do this by giving a customer a service they can trust, by giving them the best price.
You also have to give them a reason to buy.
You don’t just have to offer a good product.
You need to make it appealing to customers.
That starts with making your customers feel good.
