The Swans’ first official statement regarding the matter has been issued by the club’s management.
The club is in the process of assessing the situation, which could lead to further sanctions if the issue does not clear up.
It follows a week in which the club was rocked by reports that a group of swans had defecated on an outdoor deck and threatened a member of the public with a club car.
There has also been speculation about whether the club would be affected by the swan incident, with members of the Swains’ management claiming the club had taken a “slight” amount of damage during the incident.
Last week, the club said in a statement that the incident was a “private matter” between the members and they were “not commenting on the matter”.
The club has since clarified its position, saying it was “unaware” of any threats made against members.
It is also understood that the club is planning to appeal the charges to the High Court, which it has been granted access to.
The Swans are set to play the Wanderers on Saturday.
